Inflation + investing

We measure our investment progress against Consumer prices (CPI) plus 4% per annum on a rolling three year basis. We appreciate that during periods of severe market weakness our listed businesses will be sold off by investors. However, over a rolling three year period we believe such events will be smoothed out.  Inflation represents one of the biggest challenges for savers and investors.  Quality companies have more ways to protect themselves during periods of rising prices. 

Our approach of only investing in quality companies at the right valuation helps us to provide security through compounding: knowledge, returns and trust.
